March 2005

I wish to that all those who helped me through the meeting at Winter Camp. I have a hard time speaking before a large group.  I will do the best I can this year, please bear with me.

I was surprised to see all the empty bunks at camp this year.  I hope the weather had a lot to do with it.  I guess the meeting ran ok, It's a blur for me.  The minutes are as follows.

Members and guests introduced themselves as customary at each meeting.

the Charter was read including the names of the original signing members.  Those original members present were asked to stand as their name was called.  Special recognition to our founding fathers as always.

Catfish presented Mark Baker with a mug commemorating his service as outgoing Bourgious.

Nominations for the 2006 Bourgious were opened and the following three candidates were nominated:
Jim Martinson by Jim Nowicki
Rick Prince by "unreadable"
Ed Hagman by Steve Deloney
Nominations will remain open until Bloody Lake where the Company will elect the Bourgious for 2006.

Introductions:
Seth Brown by Josh Biagioni
Tom Suffield by Harold Erickson
Jessie Byrge by Rick Prince

Old Business included Mark baker reporting on the updates to the members picture albums.  He asks for all new members to check their information and add pictures to their page.

It was reported also that a lot of the benches need repairs.  Dean Slinker said he would "get er done."

Travis Livingston is in need of a Boy Scout project. He suggested a porch to be built as extension of the main lodge.  This would provide shelter area for those cooking our Saturday night feast. Mark Baker made the motion to allocate up to $500 for the project.  Travis will attempt to find vendors who will donate supplies. Motion was seconded by Paul Prenevost.  The members voted approving the concept of the project. Travis will report to the Company with a update at Bloody Lake.

Emery Stluka was recognized for his work on the e-mail tree of communications.  again, thank you for your work.

Jerry Pankow is stepping down from the chief cook job.  He is turning the job over to Rob Maroney. Thanks to Jerry for a great job. Good luck to Rob!

The meeting was ended in our usual fashion.  The names of those who have gone before us were read and in a moments of silence, the fig newtons were consumed.

If you were not at Winter Camp and want to continue to receive the Catfish, please send $5 to me.

Please send articles typed with a left margin of 1 1/4 to 1 1/2" to allow them to be put in a binder.  they will be published without names.  At the end of the year they will be judged and prizes awarded by rank.  First place gets first pick, etc.  One prize per person as far as prizes go.  Send as many articles as you want.  If you can not be at Winter Camp, let me know who you want to pick for you.  I will also be accepting prize donations.
