Welcome to the home of the Wisconsin and Old Northwest Company!
This is the newest version of this site and 3rd attempt at creating
a online home for the Company.
I have been away for a bit but now that the Rendezvous season has
sort of started again... Time to get things moving on the site for
sure.
I am still looking for some help with the site. Below is a couple things we are looking for:
Recent News (02/23-24/08):
The 2008 edition of the Oshkosh Trade show is now in the
books. Saturday saw a great turn out of Company men
and spouses. Heck, we had enough on Saturday afternoon
for a quorum, and meeting... but decide to instead shuffle
around the booths and exchange a few tall tales.
Suffy
and Tilly were manning their corner of the show... "Taiwan
Teddy" Cash was there with plenty of new shiny bobbles (ask
me about the gorgeous teapot we bought--- absolutely
perfect). Billy Hamer, Prince Rick, Dick Preston were
all seen scouting for bargains... Dottie and Em were there
of course...I spoke with Mouse and
asked him about retirement... his reply... "Do I look like I
am enjoying retirement?" ...with that big grin Mouse,
I would have to say yes! He told me that the first
installment of "Name that Motley Crew" was a lot of fun...
and that he had all but four answers right away but couldn't
get his e-mail thru to me... So,
e-mail me here for the future Mouse. Mr. and Mrs.
Oestreich were there and Jay and family. Thanks so
much Janice for helping Wendy with clothing ideas! Cousin
Dave was handing out big grins and had another table full of
beautiful silver again this year... I just had to have
another piece and the 2007 X-mas ornament... Wendy says she
likes it even better than the 2006 ornament... just
beautiful work Dave! There were a few
absences...Gary and Kathy Schluter were not there... we
missed you guys and we hope everything is ok with you....
I have to say that Wendy and I enjoyed ourselves quite a bit
and got to meet several new friends from I believe the XY
Company (I could be mistaken). We all went to the
Black Otter Supper Club for dinner in Hortonville, where one
our friends tangled with a 160 oz. Prime Rib.... and NO I am
not kidding. Good time was had by all I think.... I
know I must be missing someone or forgetting something...
please forgive me if I did.
We look forward to seeing you further down the trail....
More News to come....
YMOS,
~M. "Biscuit" Duncan
